The upcoming long weekend will be marked by high temperatures in several regions of Mexico, reaching even 40 degrees starting Friday, March 14. Maximum temperatures will range between 28 and 30 degrees, while minimums will be between 11 and 13 degrees.
Civil Protection issues recommendations in the face of extreme temperatures, such as avoiding sudden changes in temperature, not exposing oneself to the sun for prolonged periods, wearing long-sleeved clothing in light colors, and paying special attention to children and the elderly. On the other hand, the presence of cold front 35 and other meteorological phenomena is expected, which could cause strong winds with dust storms in the northwest, north, and northeast of the country, which could lead to inconveniences such as fallen trees and advertising signs, as well as increasing the risk of wildfires.
In Mexico City, warm to hot weather without rain is expected, with maximum temperatures between 28 and 30 degrees and minimums of 14 degrees. For Saturday, March 15, clear skies, haze, and a cool environment in the morning are forecasted. As for the entities where temperatures of 30 to 40 degrees will be recorded, they include states such as Coahuila, Nayarit, Jalisco, Tabasco, Yucatán, Quintana Roo, among others. In summary, the population is advised to take precautions against this extreme weather and follow the instructions of Civil Protection to avoid health risks.
